Inflating a foil letter balloon is quick and tool-free:

1. Insert a thin straw into the self-sealing valve at the base of the balloon.
2. Fill slowly with helium to float it, or with normal air to stick it on a wall.
3. Stop when the foil is firm but not rock hard, foil balloons over-inflate easily.
4. Remove the straw and the valve seals itself. Tape or string it up and you are set.
